We decided to use Allen + roth closet systems again, after our good luck in our previous closet remodel. The glue on the floor was barely dry in these two rooms, and we staged the materials and got to work.
One particular big box store carries these, and we ordered them online so they could be delivered to the house. They are heavy, and we had four of them for all of the closets. Well worth the $50 freight fee! This would have been half a day of shopping, loading, driving, unloading, and stacking. Getting help in the stores can be excruciatingly sluggish, and I learned my lesson on the last project: I ordered online to have it pallet-ized and fork-lifted into my truck. I sat on my thumb for over an hour in the store waiting for the one employee to help me.
These closets are fairly small, and there was not a way to maximize closet rod footage while allowing the drawer to open fully with the closet doors in place. One of many compromises… We made our measurements and opted to wall mount these units.
Closet shelves and rods trimmed to fit! Guest room is coming along.
The nursery is making progress as well. Next steps: baseboards and closet doors.
