Another delivery… Our interior doors showed up in excellent shape.
The shop we sourced our baseboards from recommended a finish carpenter, who had a crew install baseboards in all rooms and closets, hung four doors, and door casings in one afternoon for a price that was too good to beat. This saved me a ton of time, and allowed our painter to come out to spray our doors, casings, and paint the baseboards.
The front half of the house was still a demo zone, so the painter set up inside to beat the heat.
Doors and hardware are in! It is starting to feel like a home.
One challenge we had was a non standard door opening we were converting from a louvered sliding door to match the rest of the interior. I found another brand that had a 30″ width, and was nervous of it not being a close match. Luckily it blends in perfectly! And Buddy tax, RIP. The project really feels like it is on the fast track, we have to move in soon.
