Day 73- Master Bath Vanity

Coinciding with our project, a new business in San Marcos CA opened called Apex Cabinets, a wholesaler of cabinets, granite, and quartz counter tops.

Their claim to fame: it’s in stock! They have an extensive selection of quartz, which is what we were looking into for our counters. One thing that wasn’t apparent, is that cabinets are flat packed Ikea style, which altered the cost savings of their cabinets; since labor to build is extensive. Our test run of their product was in our master bath, and it paid off in spades. We opted to look at other options for the kitchen…

Quality for a bath was good enough. They had the color we wanted, but the build out of the units was more laborious than expected. I had to squeeze time in between everything else we were doing to get these cabinets together and installed, so our stone fabricator could mock up our counter for sinks and trimming. Hindsight is 20/20, but I would have added some hinges for the upper faces to organize Carol’s blow dryer and flat iron.

Cabinets are assembled and installed, angle valves and sewer is stubbed into cabinets. Time to mock up the quartz!

Cabinets completed, quartz and sinks in! Knobs would come later. Not many pictures here, sorry y’all. Too many balls were in the air at this point, I was pushing to get the bedrooms and baths completed so we could move out of our other house, and start living in the construction zone.

We found some cool organizers to maximize our storage space, they all have slides.

Mirror was cut and installed with our shower glass, progress is being made!
