Thanks for visiting us at OurFunctionalFarmhouse.com! While our blog is a non-linear look at posts as they were published, here you will find a start to finish chronology for our do it yourself remodel. We have labeled the posts based on the day we closed escrow and took possession of the property. The rational is to help convey the tempo and cadence from start to finish. Some projects might have only been a day or two, and the kitchen was nearly 6 months from a blank slate to completion due to a number of reasons. As of 2-3-2021, our major projects started 4-7-18, and our exterior paint finished up 1-7-2021.
Could it have been done faster? 100%. Could it have been done cheaper? Costs could have been trimmed in a number of areas. Why did you do it a different way than my project? We moved forward based on our wants, needs, and skills.
